We start by mapping what you want to produce—client reports, factsheets, presentations, and other outputs—to the data that powers them.
Outputs: You provide an inventory of materials to automate. It doesn’t need to be exhaustive—just representative of what’s in scope.
Inputs: You tell us where your data lives and how it’s structured—whether in a data warehouse, separate systems, or Excel files. The more specific you can be (for example, providing a SQL script or sample datasets), the faster we can assess readiness.
Outcome: Assette has the information needed to estimate implementation effort.
We then estimate what it takes to align your data with your desired outputs—how much work stands between your source datasets and how these appear in content. For example:
Low effort: Your data warehouse already mirrors your outputs — say, a holdings table with eight matching columns.
Medium effort: Your data is generally organized but requires preparation to match output needs — for instance, holdings data may reside in multiple tables or require calculated fields before use.
High effort: Your data is scattered across systems with no central repository, requiring joining and transformation before automation.
Outcome: A scoped plan with an estimate of total hours, effort level, and timeline for in-scope content types.
Together, we’ll decide how to staff the implementation—using your internal team or a consulting partner.
Outcome: Implementation cost estimate and resourcing plan.
| Role | Who Typically Fills It |
Core Skills & Responsibilities | Estimated Time Commitment |
|---|---|---|---|
| Business Analyst | IT personnel or marketing users with report automation experience | Defines content needs, maps data to deliverables, collaborates with DE. | 15–20 hrs/week during integration; less once mappings are stable |
| Data Engineer | IT resource or data analyst with SQL/Python | Connects systems, builds Data Blocks, collaborates with BA. | 20–25 hrs/week during integration; drops off significantly afterward |
| Author | Marketing personnel with content creation experience | Builds templates; handles branding, disclosures, and workflows; enters knowledge base information, if required. | 15–20 hrs/week during template build; lighter for other setup work |
| Project Manager | PM or dual-hatted Author/BA | Keeps timelines and deliverables on track | 5–7 hrs/week throughout implementation |
Most firms succeed with a focused core team of two people. Fewer handoffs mean clearer communication and faster collaboration. The payoff: content delivered in weeks, not months.
*Estimates assume your team will implement Assette “part time” alongside their usual responsibilities.
Our team partners with your IT and data groups to establish SSO, connect the key datasets Assette relies on, and configure your development environment.
The result: by the time training starts, everyone’s working in a live, familiar setup instead of a sandbox.
Your team learns to use Assette while developing real datasets and templates.
Each session builds on the last—by the end of the program, your team can confidently run and extend the platform. See here for the ACE Syllabus.
After training, your team applies what they’ve learned to finish all the outputs being produced in Assette.
We stay close throughout this process to support your implementation and go-live.
| Phase | Duration | Focus | Outcome |
|---|---|---|---|
| ACE TRAINING | 8-10 weeks | Learn + build core components | Team trained, foundation complete |
| BUILD & GO-LIVE | 6-8 weeks | Finalize first content type | At least 1 content type live |
Assette provides 100-hours of support for the first module and 50 hours for additional ones covering training, setup, and configuration support—everything your team needs to be fully operational and independent.
The timeline above reflects a low-to-medium effort implementation, where your data is generally organized but not yet fully aligned with output needs, requiring some preparation and transformation within Assette.
Assette’s implementation model is built for self-sufficiency, not vendor reliance.
We train your marketing team to run the platform confidently, so you’re not dependent on IT—or anyone else—for everyday updates and maintenance.
Some vendors may seem lower-cost because they handle implementation themselves, but that approach often creates long-term dependency and recurring statements of work.
A predictable investment upfront and a team that can move faster without waiting on vendor change orders or added costs down the road.
