The first 31 days

I was on a call with a prospect last week and when I introduced myself, I realized it had been 31 days since I joined Assette. I guess time flies when you’re having fun!


For the past few years, Asset Managers have battled pressures on fees, then the COVID-19 Pandemic hit and figuring out how to support an entirely remote working team became priority # 1. To nobody’s surprise leveraging technology to gain an edge with client and sales communications, became a more important priority, once employees could work remotely. While these capabilities existed prior to COVID, the pandemic influenced firms’ timelines to leveraging digital capabilities. In my first month, I have seen a tremendous appetite to learn about our automated and efficient approach to client and sales communications and portals.

 

 There have been some surprises during these 31 days. To start there are still large operations manually generating hundreds, if not thousands, of client reports manually, even while we have clients telling us we helped them gain 90% efficiency in their client reporting process! The Assette approach makes sense and solves key challenges for Asset Managers seeking to differentiate and gain efficiencies in a competitive, high fee-pressure environment. I knew about these capabilities when I started, but I am surprised at the depth of capabilities in the offering AND the roadmap to continue to evolve our solution. As automated communications move to “must have” vs. “nice to have”, we are staying ahead through continuous innovation, enabled through the addition fresh talent with Asset Management experience throughout the organization.

 

The bottom line after 31 days? I’m excited. We are very well positioned to help clients solve for these challenges and the team I joined is second to none.
