| A. Assette Statements fully automates the manual
process of customizing, preparing, and delivering client account statements
sent by asset managers. The application includes a data warehouse that extracts
client data from portfolio accounting, performance, attribution, and proprietary
applications and is fully integrated with Microsoft PowerPoint and PDF.
Assette Statements holds an unlimited number of statement templates which
are then populated with portfolio data when needed. Statement distribution
options include e-mail, posting statements to a secure website, or Assette’s
print and mail service. |

| |
| |
| A. No. Assette Statements is a fully hosted and
supported application. No software needs to be installed or maintained on
an asset manager’s servers. |
| |
| |
| |
| A. Multiple security components are used by Assette
to provide effective information security. Assette uses a secure data center
that is SAS 70 certified. Other safeguards include: three layers of firewalls;
24/7 intrusion detection and quarterly vulnerability scanning by VeriSign;
virus scanning; business continuity planning; and extensive employee screening.
Assette also utilizes encryption to protect data transferred over the internet. |

| |
| A. Depending on the complexity of the installation,
Assette Statements is typically implemented in 3-6 months. Key components
of implementation include: identify, map, and process source data to Assette’s
data warehouse; define and create statement templates; and complete internal
and acceptance testing. |

on your specific needs - from limited to full support. Full support includes
information architecture and “look and feel” design services.
Such services help you figure out what data to present, how it should be
presented - complete with professional design. There is no limit on how
many templates you create and store in Assette Statements - create just
a few or create many depending on client type and requirements. |

| |
| |
| A. Assette charges a one-time implementation
fee and then an on-going monthly management fee.
The implementation fee is predicated on a number
of factors including: the level of support needed to create statement
templates; the number of data sources used for your statements; and to
what degree does source data need to be “processed” or “transformed”
by Assette before the data populates the data warehouse
The monthly management fee is driven by a number
of different factors including: the volume of data (number of accounts,
tax lots, transactions, etc.); number of users; number of data sources;
and the complexity of transformation rules used to process and present
your data. |

| |
| A. Assette Statements should be viewed as an
investment that will make your firm significantly more efficient and scalable,
thus providing more time for you to focus on developing new business and
serving existing clients.
For example, time freed up each month/quarter amongst key client service,
operations, and portfolio management staff, can be reallocated to higher
priority business development and client service initiatives. Your firm
will be able to focus on growing and retaining assets – which will
easily pay for Assette Statements in the short-term.
If your firm is in growth mode, Assette Statements will provide much
needed scalability to help you do more with fewer resources. Instead of
having to hire and train new staff to keep up with account growth, Assette
Statements will provide the automation you need to gain operating leverage
and keep expenses in check. |

solutions to the asset management industry since 1998. Assette is exclusively
focused on the money management industry and all key employees have extensive
professional experience in financial services.
Potential customers often perform due diligence on Assette and its’
applications. Client references are also available upon request.
Payment and contractual terms are fairly structured to be mutually beneficially
to both Assette and its’ clients. |

| |
| A. Your clients will directly benefit by receiving
more timely, customized, and granular statements free of errors and inconsistencies.
Clients can receive exactly the information they want to see – from
just summary data to detailed portfolio information. You can even produce
preliminary statements the first day after month or quarter–end and
then produce final versions as you complete account reconciliation. Furthermore,
when clients request ad-hoc information, your firm will be able to satisfy
these requests in minutes instead of hours or even days. You will be able
to “tell your story” better, which will build goodwill with
your clients and their consultants. |
| |

| |
| A. Yes. The statement templates stored in Assette
Statements are designed to conform to all of your corporate marketing and
legal requirements. You will no longer need to worry about statements being
disseminated to clients absent the appropriate legal disclosures and/or
marketing requirements. If your marketing or legal requirements change,
Assette Statements makes it easy to facilitate such changes across all of
your statement templates. |
| |
| |
| |
| A. No. Assette Statements is an easy-to-use and
highly intuitive application requiring minimal training. Once Assette Statements
is “up and running”, new users can be trained very quickly –
usually in just a few hours. Of course, Assette’s Client Service Group
will assist users so they can productively use Assette Statements as quickly
as possible. |
| |
| |
| |
| A. Assette Statements can help differentiate
your firm to investors and their consultants – particularly as they
pay more attention to the client servicing capabilities of their money managers.
By using proven client service tools like Assette Statements, your firm
will enhance its’ overall client service platform helping it to win
and retain more asset management mandates. |

| |
| |
| A. Yes. Multiple reasons contribute to data accuracy.
First, most data issues are caused by human errors made when manually calculating
figures or copying-and-pasting data from various sources. Assette Statements
automates these tasks, thus eliminating human errors.
Second, Assette performs a number of data integrity checks to make sure
that all data sent by source systems was completely received and processed.
Finally, Assette can execute custom data validation checks specified
by you. These could include checking if performance is up/down within
a certain range (for different periods), checking security prices against
a 3rd party-source to ensure that market values are correct and inspecting
transaction values to make sure that they are within certain ranges. |

| Yes. Assette Statements automates the process
of document insertion and fulfillment allowing for the easy inclusion of
Form ADVs, letters, and privacy notices, etc. |
| |
| |
| |
| Because Assette Statements has a distinct data
warehouse and provides the ability to customize templates to display portfolio
data, client service can quickly and inexpensively respond to client customization
requests. For example, if a customer only wants to see summary portfolio
data instead of detailed portfolio information, quickly modify an existing
template or create a new one. This template will then be populated with
account specific portfolio data that only reflects the summary information
desired. Assette Statements uses Microsoft PowerPoint as the “report
designer” – as long as you know how to use PowerPoint, you can
easily create or edit templates. With Assette Statements, client service
staff can customize templates instead of having to work with IT or the portfolio
accounting vendor. |
